• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Well done for the only European leader with the balls to stand up to Trump unequivocally, Pedro Sanchez of Spain.
The orange man baby is now threatening economic sanctions against Spain in retaliation. Go f*ck yourself, Captain Bonespur. I've already instituted my own sanctions against the US. No travel to the USA, no Maccy Ds, no bourbon, no Levi jeans 😂

No Coca-Cola for me either(never drink it), I'm sticking to San Miguel/Estrella Galicia
Viva España

Funny that bellend hegseth can talk about precision strikes, surgical strikes etc but has no idea who dropped a bomb on a girls school slaughtering students and teachers
Why would the slaughter of students and teachers in a place far away, be of even limited concern to the MAGA base? It’s a pastime in the US; couple/few thousand of their own kids get killed every year due to gun violence. They’ve become desensitised to max violence and their ‘commander in chief’ and his goons are the personification of that.

Perhaps it's time for women to take charge?
From what I understand through my past reading, Matriarchal societies are less aggressive and violent historically than Patriarchal societies, so you could well be onto something there.

Yeah, women in charge could be good, just make sure Tulsi Gabbard and Kristi Noem are in charge of the Departments of Apple Pie and Soda Pop.

No mate, they're too emotional...
I would say that going to war is one of the most highly emotional and irrational acts that you can take, and it usually involves male decision making for it to happen.

Current societies and cultures are, by and large Patriarchal, so the Matriarchal mindset doesn’t get much of a look in, especially when war is involved.

The instinct of a rational person if they feel threatened by someone else, is to try and calm things down or in the politicians parlance de escalate the situation.

This is a defensive move, which can be referred to as the first line of defence, and is usually simultaneously accompanied by the decision to back away from the source of the threat whilst weighing up all options available to them.

If the danger continues to grow, and the person who is threatening the intended target/victim, begins to attack them, then there are two options normally available to fall back on, which is to fight or flight.

By any logical metric, only an idiot or lunatic would want to start or provoke a fight without reason as the consequences could be devastating for either or both parties involved.

The way I see it, for as long as there is a heavy Patriarchal leaning in world politics, that isn’t tempered by a more Matriarchal political influence as well, then the barbarism of war will be a constant thorn in the side of our beleaguered civilisation.

It is a sad day when I have to point out sarcasm on a British website.
