Smart lady but a sizeable donation for a personal shopper and clothing alterations isn't very socialist, is it?

Ditto Sir Keir and his spectacles.

Many steps removed from the poorest people in this country.

The pair of them need to wake up. It's not like they're short of a bob or two.
The Labour government has been a mixed bag so far. I'm glad about some of the things they've done, not others. I was particularly p*ssed off about them watering down House of Lords reform after giving it large before the election. Don't fanny about, get rid of the lazy, privileged feckers and replace them with an elected second chamber. NOW!
At the moment, I'm teetering on the edge of transferring my vote to the only truly left wing party in the UK with a chance of making a difference, The Greens.

Labour has to be better. Simple. They have to make tough choices that will hurt people as a result of 15 Tory years. They’re making those tough decisions but they need to take people with them and this nonsense around freebies etc, and the daft attempts to justify them, aren’t going to help.

Those tough choices haven't got to be made immediately though, he's just come into power and has alienated enough people already with his sledge hammer approach, made worse by his arrogance in saying he won't apologise for making these tough choices, he needs to learn about the word humility.

They do though. The country is a mess. Putting off what needs to be done will only make it a mess for longer.

You need to look at the people who will suffer though, that's why I say he could moderate the tough times.
although gone are the days where the Labour Party would have some thought for and look after its people,

That's my thoughts rightly or wrongly anyway and I'm not speaking from a personal point of view, although I don't know what the future will hold for me and mine.

Rachel Reeves been taking money for clothes now too! £7500.

Angela Rayner has hired a public photographer full time funded by public purse - the previous protocol is the PM has a public funded photographer but not the Deputy.

This lot of Labour leaders seem very image conscious. Hope it's not a case of the emperor's new clothes.

The political stupidity is Sunakian. Surprised me. Whatever I thought about Starmer's weaknesses, this kind of brainlessness wasn't one of them. He needs to sack a lot of his internal staff too and start again if necessary if they won't f*****g grow up. So disappointing for those of us that want this government to succeed and be more radical.

Lets get it in some context mind. Jenprick, the next Tory leader probably...

I hoped the Labour Party would be clean from the off to put a so called "sea of red water" between their behaviour and the Tories. At the moment, the sea has turned purple!
I expected it rather than hoped for it, after the way they platformed on cleaning up politics. I'm frankly astonished they couldn't see the "optics" of this in advance and still can't. Rayner was appalling on the equally appalling tory loving Kuhnsberg thing yesterday. Sounded like the arse end of the tories.

Smurph summed Labour up in his post above.
Just a little less slimy and scummy than the Tories, so far anyway, they may even end up worse.
