Vipotnik , Bianchini & Eom

Overly harsh. He does have 6 (I think) assists so far, which if he carries on at that rate will be into double figures by the end of the season; not too bad when you look at the players around him.

The best you can say about him is that he's at least getting into positions where his lack of end product is on display, most of them don't even get that far and it's all entirely theoretical if they have any end product or not.
not sure I’m being overly harsh. Our entire game plan involves giving him the ball at least 30 times a game. The fact he’s managed to do something with it once every 120 attempts is not exactly inspiring.
Don’t disagree with the rest.

Ronald is very much overrated and personally I think he has also gone backwards in his time here

Eom is just a bang average footballer in the middle of a bang average squad as is Vipotnik and Bianchini and pretty much most of our squad

He’s 100% a confidence player, you saw that in our previous home game. Once he knows he can beat his man, his game goes up.

Needs to get better and more consistent though.

We REALLY needed Vipotnik to be a good signing; we just keep missing on our main striker targets - either in how talented they are or how we mishandle them and don't play to their strengths. I think there's a decent target man in there, but we can never get him the ball.

Yates, Kukharevych, Vipotnik. Millions and millions spent and not much to show for it. It's crippling us, really.

It's not necessarily that these are all bad players, we just for some reason can't get a tune out of them as they either don't suit how we play, don't trust them or....they're just sh*te.

Surely all these strikers can't be shit or can they? Maybe we're looking in the wrong direction.

I think Vipotnik is bang average in the way Newhouse was bang average…

Yeah but Vipotnik can never play for England

Oh wait...
The funny thing is we were so spoilt for a long time with strikers, starting really with Jason Scotland, that we’ve forgotten how difficult it is to find a good one. We had awful strikers for season after season in the past and are going through a stage of doing so again now.

I think Scotland would struggle in this team

Scotland was brilliant when the ball was played to his feet, he could turn and get his shot. We don’t ever seem to play the ball centrally to the Strikers feet these days

Just to add some balance; when you sign players in their early 20s who have never played in England before you have to give them time.

Vipotnik and Eom have played about 13 games worth of minutes and Bianchini 7.5. None of these have had a real prolonged run either.

Not saying they will come good, but there's so much that comes with moving to a new country, new league potentially new language etc. that some players need patience.

Partly it’s because Vipotnik never ever finds himself a yard of space where it would be possible to find his feet even if we had a player capable of doing so.
Scotlands ability to create something out of nothing was also a factor. Piroe had that quality as well - creating room for himself. Vipotnik is always in the wrong place.
Scotland would undoubtedly find it more difficult as we move the ball so slowly, but he’d look in a different class to our strikers now. Largely because he was in a different class.

We have some real latent gems which a half decent coach would get the very best out of. We’ve seen these gems shine under the right stewardship most recently.

Far too much harking back to the good ol’ days by some cranky ol’ oldies.

The focus is on the here, the now and how best to leverage our assets.

New Sporting Director and new proper manager, ‘prompto’.

It’s possible that Bianchini will come good. I’m struggling to see it with Vipotnik I’m afraid.

Excellent, grown up post
Thinking with your head instead of your feelings, unlike some

Not harking back. Using examples from the past to make a point about the present.

We have very few gems, latent or otherwise. We’ve sold them all.
