No disrespect, but when I saw this thread I assumed it was an old poll from way back in the transfer window! I know that three goals and an assist does not make a summer, but I for one am very glad indeed that we held on to him. Don't know whether it was lack of service that led to his relative lack of goals last season, or because he's a confidence player and needed a couple to steady his nerves, or a bit of both, but I've always thought there was a player there and he looks like being on fire again now. In his last season with Maribor he scored 20 goals in the equivalent of under 22 games! (At Bordeaux it was 10 from 26.)
