Can't argue much with what he said in that interview

It does sound like Benson will be offski, VM said that he was available Saturday before he goes away for AFCON and that club will be discussing internally his situation, but it was a very curt and brief response and he didn't sound keen on him at all in my opinion.

Sounds like it with Benson, doesn't it. We can all debate about if he is better than Ronald etc. But I have seen nothing in him and we should use the money for another loan.

Honestly Benson has been worse than awful.

Every time he takes to the pitch and we get the ball out to him early he dithers on it, dribbles the ball backwards and holds onto it so long that the only pass left is to his full back (or worse the center half as the full back made an overlapping run that he ignored)

In terms of attacking ambition there was never any to be seen. I would fully endorse cutting him loose and bringing back Congreve from his loan or utilizing Glory Nzingo (his loan in the US ends in January)

I would have 0 issue with bringing one of our loans back to fit that gap. Based on Matos comment last week, sounds like it's gonna happen, if we can recall any. You have it spot on with Benson. The way that he receives the ball and always pass backwards. Maybe I'm being harsh, but the player that came with past reputation of having potential has shown nothing. We can't always get it right with loans I suppose.
