Totally agree with Phil and as supporters we expect the best our team can deliver in the best way. Nevertheless we as SUPPORTERS have a very important role at a very crucial time.

Cut out the boos and jeers when the team is low on confidence. We must help to drive the pride back.

It’s hard to cheer when we’ve had a succession of t*t boring football from the Martin, Duff, Williams, and in the end, Sheehan. With Another disaster appointment in O’Dear and his merry men, which in my humble opinion was the final undoing for Alan Sheehan, by not sticking to his guns.
As Phil says, how many football intelligence mistakes can the ownership make, before they and the investors loose interest in a struggling Championship team ?

But, The King is dead, long live The King !
I’m sure the fans will rally round, and hopefully we start with “The new manager bounce” and he and his coaching staff, carry it on from there in an upwards trajectory, with good fast attacking football, and a good defensive set up.
COYS !

That's the spirit 😂😂😂

Sounds like it will be later this evening by all accounts. Might be wrong. But he's in Swansea with his backroom coaches and taking training tomorrow.
That’s good then I thought I read somewhere the coaches will be taking charge of Maritimo today at 2PM.

My wife (not a football fan) has a good feeling about him. She said , " he's got a pleasant little face " So onwards and upwards then.
F*****g love it. He's got a pleasant little face is about as good as it gets for our managers CV's, gotta to be the way forward compared to any other factors in the recent past. I'm buoyed up now by this left field approach, my compliments and thanks to Mrs cmjack 👏

My wife is still upset that she wasn’t allowed to witness Fernando Llorente’s medical.
Or any other occasion when he might have been half naked to tell the truth.
Still unclear as to what he’s got that I haven’t…

Great article and sums up nicely the knife edge of a situation the club has floundered its way into. Did the rot start when (seemingly) Montague was pushed out to preserve someone else’s position? Any real football know how was jettisoned and maybe the club backed the wrong horse but I digress.

At least Vitor Matos is bringing in people he knows and trusts and hopefully his positive style will reinvigorate and excite the players into far better performances.

That’s the first hurdle and hopefully will not have some sort of blind prejudice against the two young exciting Swedish players whose every instinct is to attack. I hope he sees Stamenic as an 8 instead of a six but will likely play Franco there and maybe bring him on when we are being outmuscled in games.

Vipotnik HAS to start however he may favour 3-5-2 so maybe the both will. As I said Widdell (who should have been on the pitch after half time) has to have a run of games , interchanging Eom there at 10 to add something different from time to time but also having him pressure Ronald for his place - Eom is never a left winger but we haven’t tried him to my knowledge on the right?

With Tymon and Cabango returning we will be more assured at the back but Casey is more than able plus Santos . The ownership group must surely now be looking for a very decent full back or wing back to force Key off the pitch. He’s a likeable guy but his performances this season have been way under par and is clearly being targeted along with Ronald as causing weakness on our right side.

Last thing - centre midfield needs an O’Brien type , an aggressive carrier of the ball who also picks good passes. I don’t think we are a million miles off but the real stand out weaknesses for me are right back and centre midfield. When Ronald was actually getting a yard on his opposing left back (due to some good balls played through the channel and over the top) he looked dangerous. If we can get this on both flanks we should be fine.

I’m sure Matos has assessed this situation and I hope the board will give him some finance to get in what we need. If they don’t we could quite feasibly go down and that would spell disaster for the club.

Enjoyed reading that, Dillwyn
