• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

No need.

Yeah I can understand those selections. They bring experience of major tournaments and they’re both positive characters to have around the place.

How will we manage when those pair retire? We will have to hire comedians or jugglers to keep spirits up in the dressing room.

Yup, agree. And Cooper’s never been anywhere near a Wales squad so not sure why anyone expected him to make the World Cup.

I'm not surprised, because Page is as conservative a manager as anyone in the game. Colwill has hardly done much in a Welsh shirt though and has barely played this season. You take experienced veterans battling injury like Allen because they're a proven commodity.

Many times over the years squads have benefitted from a 'bolter' someone who has come out of nowhere, excites the fans and sometimes ends up playing a big part in the tournament. Cooper could have been that player for Wales.

You disgust me.

Selfishly, do we really need Ollie to go there and score a hat trick against England, meaning we lose him on January 1st? No.

This is just a jolly boys outing really and Page has stayed loyal to that.

Of course Cooper should have gone, how many fit in-from midfielders do we have?

We are a tiny nation, the least we should be doing is picking on form, not sentimentality.

Nothing to do with what "we" need, he deserves to be called up to what could be a chance of a generation again. He will be heartbroken tonight, no doubt.

He'll be fine. He has years ahead of him and could even be the talisman of the next 15 years

Who would you have taken ahead of Gunter?

Wimbledon fans celebrating Gunter going as it means he doesn’t play for them for a month.

They’ve been impressed with him according to an Wimbledon mate. Had his best game last night.
Wimbledon and Charlton will be sharing £10,000 for each day he’s away at the World Cup.
Not sure how much they paid for him, but I’m sure that will cover it. 😁

I hope you're right mate, but that's an awfully casual attitude to take when we hadn't qualified for a World Cup in 64 years before this one. With some of our leading players entering their final tournament, this may be the only chance Cooper will have in his whole career.

I don't understand not recruiting players on form.

There is a certain case for being loyal to the players that got them to the World Cup, but then you also have to look at the players who simply are not playing for their clubs at all despite being fit and somehow still getting in over players who are in good form.

Cooper would have every right to feel aggrieved and Cabango plenty of reasons to feel incredibly fortunate to be on the plane.

The World Cup is up to 48 teams from 2026 and the Euros will be 32 soon. Its only going upwards beyond that

I'm confident it won't be another 64 year wait

Only three more teams for Europe though and we’re getting towards the end of our most successful period. No guarantees that we’ll be back any time soon.
