WC 2026 Qualifier | The Official Match Thread | Kazakhstan 0 Cymru 1

Think Neco was ok. He worked hard - something Johnson didn’t do, which probably meant he looked worse as he was having to cover Johnson.

I feel he burst onto the scene so spectacularly as a youngster we’re all hoping he can take charge of a game when in reality (right now at least) he is a middling to bottom half prem wingback.

Also - doesn’t he normally play left wingback away from home when Connor is playing right? He’s got a good partnership with Davies and he had to built a new one today on the other side with an untested new player (who admittedly was terrific)

Not a great performance, especially second half, but three points is all that mattered really. Was really impressed with Lawlor as well, hadn’t really heard much about him before.

Forgettable game but an absolute banger of a trip, very sad to be flying home in the morning!

That aged well - the kid was FANTASTIC!!
Cabango over mepham every day and twice on Sunday.

Didn't say he wasn't good either, but a seasoned championship player should be expected to start over a kid with 7 league

How brilliant to have a young defender in Dylan Lawlor for the future of the Welsh National team. The more youngsters we have coming through the better for Wales in the long term.

Brennan Johnson is an interesting cat - he goes from world beater to egg beater so quickly. You literally never know who will turn up.
Watching him decline to attack his full back at all when Sorba was literally roasting the full back on the other side was a head scratcher.
