I'm always saying this here so sorry about what I'm about to say..anyhow;

The 'Swansea Way' myth needs to die and die quickly. We played tippy tappy football for what? 3 years? maybe 4? We're not Ajax or Barcelona.

We need a manager to come in who can use the players he's got at his disposal to use their actual skill sets - not this "pass it sideways for 90 minutes because that's the Swansea Way".

I would rather win 1-0 by playing counter attacking football than watching any slow, ponderous poop we've had to endure under Jack Russell.

I'm not saying that we should get a dinosaur in like Neil Warlock. But we definitely need a manager who knows the league and knows how to get promoted.

Big Sam is available like...

We certainly need a Manager with contacts in the game and who isn't rigid to a 4-4-2 and isn't Steve Bruce.

I agree in a way, about going back to basics, and being pragmatic in our approach to games.
But we’ve always had a reputation of trying to play football in the lower leagues. I’ve been following the Swans since 1985/86, we’ve had the likes of Terry Yorath, Frankie Burrows, John Hollins, way before the likes of Flynn, Roberto, Brendan and Laudrup, all of whom have tried to play a possession based game. Not to the extent of this clown we have now, who is naively obsessed with possession to the detriment of everything else.
I’m all for possession based football but in the right areas of the pitch.

Wasn't one of the reasons we all wanted rid of Cooper was because of the style of play? I recall Alan Curtis stating that they appointed Martin with the intention of getting back to the "Swansea way".

Appointing someone like Allardyce as a reaction to how poor Martin has been would be a wild overreaction and likely a terrible decision.

If we do part ways with Martin, I expect another appointment similar to all 3 we've made since being relegated, someone relatively young and bringing fresh ideas to the table. It's worked for us more often than it hasn't to be fair.
