• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

What a world we live in.

Social media, 24 hour news etc, brings stories to us within minutes.

Years ago it was just local papers, but now a day doesn't go by, without some atrocious crime.

So difficult to comprehend what goes through some peoples minds.

And yet we have people in this country that think what Jeremy Clarkson wrote is fine. Game of Thrones innit.

The people making excuses for vile scumbags comments, really should take a good look at themselves. They are the same people that fake shock and horror when these horrendous crimes are reported in the media, you really couldn't make it up.

The sooner everyone starts condemning misogynistic comments from people on forums, social media, down the pub, the sooner we will have a better society.

But as things stand, people who care will just continue to be called woke (like that is meant to be offensive mind). Everyone has a duty to call the nonsense out, whether its mysogony, homophobia, body shaming or racism. See it, call it out.

Very well said.

Anyone want to rethink, what should happen to people like this who are found guilty of such heinous crimes. Take your time.
It never ceases to amaze me how low humankind can stoop.

Looks like the Probation Service incorrectly graded him as “medium risk” instead of “High risk”.

Also of concern is the below extract from the Daily Telegraph report in to the investigation of the Probation Service handling of this monsters case. Someone somewhere was controlling what could be recommended in terms sentences - call me a cynic but I suspect it was the Ministry of Justice or Home Office on account of the pressure on prison numbers.

“To make matters worse, the source added that probation officers in the Swindon region at the time were not allowed to recommend custody in their pre-sentence reports.”

What possible purpose or reason can there be in keeping this thing alive anymore?
Capital punishment where there is no doubt in guilt must be brought back. It shouldn't even be up for question.
