It has indeed. One of my best friends has gone firmly down a racist worm hole since beginning to support Reform. I firmly believe due to nothing other than social media algorithims.

He's sharing racist posts in various whatsapp groups I'm a member of, usually from Voice Of Wales, to the point that I've left some of them.

Ironically his family (two parents, 4 children) are supported entirely by benefits and would probably be destitude under a Reform government.

The same ones (living on benefits) that Francesca o Brien said should be put down. Number one on the Reform list for Swansea Gower. Seeing her cosying up to people in Mayhill makes me sick. She absolutely loathes the unrich

Often the common denominator is facebook groups like "voice of Wales".

I'm not involved in this rodeo living in Somerset. But do wonder how in 3 or 4 generations has South Wales moved from the place which sent many volunteers to the International Brigade to fight right wing nationalism (or more simple fascism) and housed many (mainly Basque) refugee children (being a nation of sanctuary is not new) has become somewhere that people vote for fascism and division.

Same here, my best of 30 odd years has been brainwashed by these right wing clowns.

Apparently everything I see on the TV or read online is wrong yet everything he watches or reads is 100% correct.

It's reached a point where the majority of us who have been friends since kids have to take a break from him for months on end.

I never voted, but the mood of my part of the world, is we are struggling with cost of living, can't get a dentist or doctor appointment and god help you if you need the hospital for an emergency. An open invitation to the rest of the world is not going to make the above any better. So I understand the Reform protest vote because the UK has had enough of the usual status quo.

I don’t quite understand why you’d vote for a party that’s going to decrease taxes and as a result the NHS budget if that’s your concern, but obviously everyone gets to make their own decision - that’s the beauty of democracy.

I do understand ‘middle classes’ who are on decent salaries and feel that the health system going more private would benefit them in the medium to long term though deciding to go with Reform.

Likewise on the 1st part. They’re not for me but I do understand how they’re picking up those votes.

Sadly, the people who are struggling atm (whether that’s financially or otherwise) will probably find out the hard way that promises made in sound bites mean little in reality.

I do understand why they feel they’ve been let down though and being talked down to is never going to win them back or convince them.
