• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

If Whittaker isn't going to get a look in we need a far better option on the bench than Cullen. Obafemi should add something, but perhaps one more would be handy. That and a left sided Laird. Think we're OK for now otherwise. Maybe a Grimes replacement if he's still arsing around on a new contract and we decide to grab whatever is on offer.

Centre back that can step out with the ball and pass crisply (what Williams was presumably meant to provide...what's up with him? He must be real cack, or in a strop). Midfielder that can drive forward and commit people.

Both needed to create space for the wing backs or to have a shot. If I remember right, it's a blur, Bennett did both quite well yesterday even the passing and shooting. Was he hypnotised?

Oh and a proper left wing back. If we are going to do this properly, Biddy ain't it.

The Midfielder could be Fulton he is capable of that, given the way Martin sets us up the CB isnt needed he seems to have decided on using Naughtin assisted bt Downes to distribute the bal from the back...we are not playing a "traditonal" back line as either Downes or Grimes tend to drop back there..
I dont understand why people knock Bidwell he is often found in the box or is putting in good crosses....
Its all about opinions I know but i do sometimes wonder what some folk are watching

I’m pretty sure he hasn’t been in the squad since he was on the end of racist abuse from Luton fans.

He played in the following match at Brighton and was poor if I remember right (or injured?). He then disappeared but was on the bench at Derby. Then gone again. I'm actually surprised we don't have a games agreement on him.

An attacking left wing back of the same calibre as Laird is the number one thing that we need in my opinion. As has been mentioned before Bidwell just doesn't have the pace and trickery to beat a man and get into dangerous positions to pick out a proper pass to the forwards in the same way that Laird can. If we can nail that in January then for me its just more about evolution rather than revolution of the squad over the next few windows.
