• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

What type of manager do we want?

If he goes, Coleman needs to have a conversation with some proper football people and reorganise and restructure the club so that the whole entity moves forward in the same direction with the same purpose.
One playing style from top to bottom, players developed so as to be able to step up between the levels seamlessly etc etc.

I’d probably look for a manager in Spain, or Portugal, but who I have no idea.

He turned Wales down didn’t he because of the project at Como, didn’t he manage them for a while until Fabregas took over?
Got them promoted to Serie A.. lost 3 games in 21 attempts.. speaks different languages, including Welsh, the brains behind the successful FAW coaching courses.. now we have two billionaires on the committee.. stump up the required wonga

Is Frank Burrows the last 'hat manager' we had? are there any hat managers in circulation these days? Klopp loved his baseball cap, as did Pulis (though he just looked like a dickhead). Bring back the hat managers, it could be the new Swansea Way.

Sarina Wiegman for me, will shake it up a bit and bring a different dynamic.
That’s a bit of a controversial choice because there’s still plenty of Neanderthals out there who think a woman’s place is in the kitchen and football is for blokes. Personally, it wouldn’t bother me if the nex5 boss was a female as long as she was up to the job and delivered the goods.

We all dream of a team of Alan Tates a team of Alan Tates.
About 2 years ago I said Alan Tate and Osian Roberts as a strong number 2 in his ear to take the reigns.. it's a bit ironic they've been mentioned almost in unison
