• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

This article is six years old, so apologies if it's a ferdy, but it makes the point that if you are in the Premier League then your city will be known around the world. There's a link in the article to our match with Arsenal (spoiler, we lost but we showed a lot more spirit than in the last few matches this season). Like mostly everyone else on this board, I don't think we'll be promoted, or deserve to be promoted, but sod that, if we have a 1 in 10 chance of going up then I personally would have taken that at the start of the season. I still think it will be Muff or Brentford.

I’ll never forget getting into a taxi in Cape Town and the driver asking where we were from.

“Swansea”

“Miiicccchhhuuuuuuuu!” Was his response.

Haha! Excellent! Not sure when, maybe 2016 or 2017, I was walking through Madrid Airport wearing a Swans cap and exactly the same happened to me, some guy came towards me, pointed at my cap and shouted "Michuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu" 😂😂😂😂😂

Recall being by the pool in hotel in Gambia the year we went up under Brenda. Pool attendant saw my swans towel and in his thick African accent shouted " c mon the jacks". I shit you not, my mrs choked on her pina colada.

Also in Africa, drinking in a bar with two of Michu s school friends

It was an astonishing start at QPR and put the dogshatcity back on the map
