So the Swans capitulation at home to Preston North End yesterday afternoon is not even 24 hours ago yet but as the next day dawns you start to wonder whether thing will change sufficiently in the next 7 games to firstly secure that play off position and then to secure the promotion that the winning...

I’m not disappointed or angry anymore. I’ll re-engage if we actually reach the play offs. That might need another three wins the way things are shaping up. Things can turn again, but unlikely with Cooperwang, unless Lady Luck decides to cast her capricious favours on us again.

I suppose we do need to get near the opponents goal for that though, so unlikely.

Nothing will change.

Why do I keep reading that performances have been poor over the last two months? I remember discussing how poor we were under Cooper pre-Covid. Every week was a shitfest, then we had little break before our run to the playoffs.

Aside from the odd forty-five we have consistently been rubbish under Cooper and now we are consistently getting the results that our style of play and performances deserve.

Exactly this.

I think Christmas 2019 was when I called him a fraud (24 carat gold plated fraud, if I remember right) and was not wholeheartedly thanked for my views. I have flip flopped a bit since, but, after seeing this clusterfuck and his last two pressers, I think I got his measure first time.

People also go on about him getting us to the play offs. That was a decent run for sure, but he actually blew that too. Losing to a terrible Luton at home and drawing with an awful Forest away while not going for them meant it was over. I’m sure I rememer that Phil wrote an article on here saying so and how disappointing our approach had been when it counted and we’d chucked it away.

Then we got two miracles. An on the beach Reading and an on the money Stoke. A six goal turn around in 30 mins? Luck. Dress it up how you like but that is luck. And yes, we’ve been mostly gash. Remember the win at Leeds. Classic Cooperball. Give them the ball, get in shape and pray that they keep missing. Then nick something from a set piece.

I thought things were improving when we started playing against Reading and Watford. Norwich was just a lesser Leeds type display again really with their mistake and a wonderstrike. Otherwise it was give them the ball and get back. It worked because Pukki was not on it and no Buendia. Plus we actually defended well and didn’t have to rely on Woodman not messing it up. It wasn’t this wonder performance people reminisce about at all, but at least it had some purpose and shape in a good way.

I think Cooper has proved to be garbage. Did I say? Learns nothing. Ever.

Yes, looking more like this with each game !

I was the same as you, shit last season, swayed earlier this season but he's shown his true colours again now.

Beautifully put and bang on the money ,we have flattered to decive
Cooper has to be looked at long and hard by the hierarchy that hired him ,bumper contract no chance if and that's a massive if he stays he stays on the same money with a no payout clause

Get real folks. Compare our side with Norwich, Watford, Brentford, Bournemouth. How many of our guys would get in a combined team? One? Two at most. We just aren't in the same class. No surprise there. How much have we spent having sold James, McBurnie, Rodon and Cilena? We've spent much less than teams like Stoke and Nottingham Forest who sit lower. Cooper is making bricks without straw, His contacts and loan signings have kept us afloat. Yes we've been playing dross because he hasn't rotated and our better players are knackered. He should have been bolder but perhaps he knows how thin the squad is. And his plan A has been sussed and he doesn't have a plan B but then has he got the players to execute a plan B? The club is being run like a corner shop that has to pay its way. Cooper is quite a good manager for such an establishment. If you want to be Harrods you'd better find a new owner.

Quite a few.
Many of our players are looking poor because of tactics and formations that don’t work and are expected to run themselves into the ground game after game week after week.
Cabango and Robert excelled for Wales, Lowe played well and scored for Jamaica, Ayew played well for Ghana, Guehi played well for England under 21s, Cooper for Wales' understand, Hourihane would have played for RoI bar injury Manning did, Grimes we are told is PL quality.
Bennett would, Woodman would. Fulton, Naughton, Latibeaudiere might and all would be comfortable in most teams at this level.
The problem is the manager.

Bravo 👏👏👏👏

Think what's annoying me the most is that Watford are probably going to go on a blip and we have a game in hand yet completely given up. As have Brentford

Cabango is promising and Guehi is pretty good. Ayew is past it and doesn't trust his team mates. Lowe can't play with his back to goal. His control lets him down and he couldn't hold up a placard. He can run in behind but no-one in our midfield can see or make that sort of pass except Dandha occasionally. Manning and Roberts are both good at this level but everyone now knows we depend on the wingbacks. Roberts is knackered and they're both marked. Hourihane is a one-trick pony. He can shoot and hit dead balls but he can't run and impose himself. Grimes PL standard? They're not queuing up for him are they? None of our midfield can impose themselves on a game or be consistently creative. To be fair they're knackered too. A good box-to-box powerhouse and a number 10 are what this team needs. Given them even Lowe could score the odd goal. Cooper's biggest failing is he hasn't rotated enough or used subs enough so the team has hit the wall. He's green don't forget. There's more chance that he'll learn than that Swansea will find some unknown, underpaid genius under a bush somewhere. Potter did no better and we couldn't hang on to him. Who wants to manage a club where the owners are mean or skint - or both.

potter is and will be a great manager and was rightfully poached by a pl team. The board are to blame for many things but for losing Potter is absurd
