• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Transfer deadline day – what lies ahead for Swansea City? A day of disappointment?

All these links with centre-backs, wing-backs, box-to-box midfielders, is it just me that thinks we're going to have a real lack of creative skill in the team?

You can't always hark back to the past, but where are the players in this team who can create something like Dyer, Sinclair, Ayew, Gylfi, Celina, James, etc?

Paterson can do it on a good day and Walsh is a lovely player, but the former rarely seems to have a good day and the latter can't stay fit. Grimes has the occasional defence-splitting pass in him and hopefully Patino shows in this area, but there's a real meat and potatoes feel about a lot of this team for me.

How many of this bewildering list of names have we actually signed for certain?

Thank god when this nonsense is over.

Definitely more box to box than defensive, bang average player but experienced because Blackburn use their academy so well.

Now being reported he wants to sign for a club in the north.

Been a busier day than I expected - just catching up on most of it. Although we should remember we haven't confirmed anyone as yet and we know our track record...

Was he on the M6 M5 or M4 when he turned around on his way down 👍😉

He was on the train - just outside of Craven Arms

Don't think we've used that one off the list before 👍

Grimes was doing it on a regular basis when he was working unison with Celina and James. He looked outstanding that season. The majority of the time, there’s nobody near him making themselves available with the intention of moving forward.

You expected less than nothing then? Impressive! I don’t think even I’m that negative
