One of these Wednesday trolls has recently been charged for mocking the death of an away fan attending a game at Hillsborough. Looks like there will be another one in the dock before long.

It never ceases to amaze me how thick some football supporters are, we have our fair share as well.

Social media has been a mainstream part of life for what, a good 15 years, give or take?

Surely you must know by now you don't post discriminatory stuff on Twitter, or do something like that in a ground because someone is going to photograph or film it or screenshot it to the authorities. Yet still it happens, several times a season.

It beggars belief.

I think Saint has got a point here. I mean he’s obviously a knob, he’ll probably lose his job and any respect he may have had in his community. But jail? Not for me.

Community service and a banning order would suffice.

Make him do some work with people who've suffered trauma in their lives. That should educate him and hopefully give the clown a bit more perspective in the future.

That is what probably will happen, given the state on our prisons.

Oh for a bit of surplus space to deal with twonks like this though. Perhaps several years was a bit OTT in my post earlier, but still think it wouldn't do him any harm at all to be put away even for a short while, make him think twice about doing it again. It's a disgusting thing to do. That man died young, had a family. That's got absolutely no place in football or any walk of life, that.

Totally agree that society doesn't have a place for people like this.

No matter what the rivalry is between two clubs it's just a game of football.
