• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Which Swan would you choose as your avatar?

I think you become Tommy Hutch after Waddle.
OK, that does make sense. Is there a relegation clause for banging on about Martin and Cooper or is it purely volumetric? If I post enough do I eventually become Wilf Milne?

This reminds me of a sci-fi series called Riverworld.

So if I keep posting I can become more virtuous than Alan Waddle? To be fair that makes no sense because otherwise we’d all start out as Itay Shecter
Yes, and if you carry on at ten posts per hour you’ll be Roger in no time at all.

it is based on volume.

The Reaction Score leader-board is the real list of legends (he says to try and stay relevant...)

I’m four posts away from my 500th, which I THINK is when I graduate to being a named player rather than a First Team Player. This got me thinking - who would I want as my ‘avatar’ (not sure if that’s the correct term - sorry!) - and who would other posters choose to be if they could?

Tony Millington was my first Swans idol because he came to my primary school and because his clowning around was engaging to me at that age.

Michu, obviously (but he’s gone - I assume each player only gets allocated once?).

Robbie James, Curt, Dyer, Routledge, Bodde would all be on the list. Freestone and Walker.

Who would you go for?
Mutey

Herbie Williams, a totally under rated footballer from the East side who on his day could play in midfield as well as at centre half. Aston Villa came to town one Boxing Day, 20,000 crammed into the Vetch Field and who can remember the tussle he had with Andy Lochhead. A quality footballer and a quality man.
