I would be a hindrance rather than a help these days without some retaining in modern warfare. However, I think I could make a real difference supporting the humanitarian efforts to feed and shelter those fleeing to Romania, Moldova, Poland.

There’s quite a bit of press about the relatively few people from GB going to front line but there isn’t much about how ordinary people like us could go and help the refugees in those neighbouring countries. We can all make a difference in different ways and it doesn’t always mean taking up arms.
