I have cringed for a good week or 3 now with all these "headers" planning on drinking their own bodyweight in ale tomorrow.
Some of the daft one liners show how much booze controls people's lives.

'Got a lot of catching up to do"

"Got an old friend to drop in on"

"My liver needs a pre-seaon"🙈

Today I heard " 1 more sleep to go"

Also the funniest was some old boy with a serious face telling me "there's a lot of boys with dry lips in town"😂🤣🙈

Here in Carmarthenshire my supposed local The Poplars was due to open at 7am and a free bacon butty was guaranteed with your first drink..... Carmarthenshire county council have insisted on table service so that causes staffing issues as most of the landlords part timers and temps are either working elsewhere or in college.
It is now only going to open at 5pm until 10pm.

Personally I'm looking forward to seeing everything settle down over the next few weeks and when indoor opening happens on may 17th then I may have a pint outside.

I'll be choosing Gower over any town or city establishment, I haven't missed the nonsense and idiots one bit, but I have missed seeing good folk enjoying responsibly.

Not a chance, it's going to be carnage, given the fair weather and the impending bank holiday, I'll be giving it a rather wide birth.👍

I'm with you both. Now up to 6 people can socialise outdoors, I'm far more likely to have friends round ours to sit in the garden for a nice drink or two, or go to theirs.

One thing that makes me laugh on the stories about all the outdoor drinking and littering going on at the moment are the people in the comments who blame it all on the youth. As Dicky's post makes clear, plenty of those out drinking are nowhere near young.

There'll be carnage may 17th. Indoor hospitality coinciding with play off semi final 1st leg.

I noticed earlier on The Railway has a marquee set up.

I'm going to try and do lunch somewhere. Cafe rather than pub. Probably Southgate as I can't seem to think of anywhere else.

Someone needs to tell these people that have been craving bars to open that supermarkets sell booze too.

At lunchtime the pub in Southgate had balloons up but there wasn't a soul sitting there. The Southgate cafe had a few free tables though everything was served in cardboard so it had an unwelcome feel.

On the way home I had a recce at The Railway which looked rammed. The Village in Killay doesn't
open until 3 on mondays.

You have got some cheek, calling people idiots.
I suppose the irony is lost on you 😂

Not been down there of late, but last summer the place was bouncing. There were loads of people sitting at tables in the car park and more milling around outside, some were moving freely between tables. If this year’s anything like last year, I can understand why the council are keeping an eye on the situation.

He's being picked on.
