You can buy train tickets for the Friday, Sunday and Tuesday but not the Saturday or Monday. It's crazy. Avanti West Coast have been shocking since they took over from Virgin. 1 train an hour to London from Manchester instead of 3 but are still guaranteed to make a profit though.
