• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Kyrgios vs Nadal.. the old man is going for the grand slam, will one day help him recover

That was one of the most determined things I’ve ever seen. I don’t believe he’ll make it happen again in less than two days at 36, but I didn’t believe that neither.

Fritz bottled it , his returns to nadals weakened by injury serve were rubbish , expect a Djokovic kyrgios final now

He most certainly did not 'bottle it' at all.

That's just your opinion , my opinion is that he did , he was nowhere near as aggressive as he should have been , Nadal was there for the taking and he just didn't step up , his return of service was terrible

Nice one Norrie! He's had to make a few comebacks this week but fair play to him. I've got tickets for Friday as well, thought the semis might be a bit of a dud when Berrettini retired but if I get Nadal/Kyrgios and Djokovic/Norrie that'll be pretty awesome.

Ooh jealous. Got a spare?!

Well the mrs has been a bit lukewarm about going since I told her she wouldn't be seeing Berrettini this year, but still think she'd rather keep the ticket sorry

In this situation I would have liked Fritz to play the Semi

They already have a Lucky Loser entrant so it's not unprecedented

It would be in the main draw. Lucky losers are those who lost in the last round of qualifying but get a place in the first round if someone pulls out before the tournament starts. I see where you’re coming from but Fritz lost so he’s out. Wouldn’t be right to insert him in the semi.

Fair enough. I thought he played beyond his previous capabilities and was going for it to the max. The angles and placement of Nadals first serve even at reduced pace were very good and his ground strokes when the ball came back we’re stunning. It was still on a knife edge though, so I don’t think there was any bottle involved. I thought with a bit more experience he might have dialled it back rather than gone for it more.
