At some point I wonder whether the penny will drop that people with zero relevant experience tend to make stupid decisions.

‘We need someone to look after the club on the ground - look how much the fans love them at Wrexham because they’re always there - if we get someone in it means we don’t ever need to go over’

‘What about the bloke we know who arranges mortgages on hotels?’

‘ does he have any experience of football in the U.K. or a similar country?’

‘No but he’s willing to move to Swansea and his Dad owns a big hotel in DC so we can say he has loads of hospitality experience - it will be fine.’

Roll forward 24 hours…
