If this is to be believed, Cardiff can't afford him and he's got an interview in Swansea according to "a source close to Nathan Jones".

Interesting ploy from his agent to get Cardiff to stump up.

Next job is key for Jones who by most accounts seemingly lost the Southampton dressing room almost immediately.

Our squad doesn't have any big egos (at least not anymore) and I feel he would be more inclined to give our fringe players more of a shake than they got from Martin. Is he the right fit for us? I will be honest I don't know enough about his football philosophy to make that call, will I get behind him if he was given the job?

Yes until proven otherwise as with any of our managers.

According to Keith on the other site Watson from Luton wants Jones to come here with him.

This club has little ambition, so I'm passed caring, some mug has to take the job and as long as he spouts enough shit and fist's the fans most on here will lap it up.

Apparently not a deal breaker but heavily implied that it is his preference.

He failed twice outside of Luton which would concern me.
However I don't see him not playing the players we have to their strengths.
He's certainly not a stats man.

Russ has failed at both his clubs so far yet Jones’s ex-club are willing to take him on, and half of our fans are still creaming their pants over him. Jones is a better manager than Martin at this stage in their careers.

😂 some right beauts there fair play.

Yep, I used to say that bout those who thought Russ was the 2nd coming.
Opinions eh.

Yes but I'm so confident he wouldn't come here it's immaterial

Would I get behind him yes, but honestly still amazed that he managed to get a job in the Premier league! Would we employ him, no, would he take a job down here, also no imho

Let’s do the Math, as the yanks say.
Supposedly, The Shysters have been working behind the scenes Caesar like, plotting The secondhand car salesman’s downfall, after his dreadful mid season drop in car sales.
Then they can’t believe their luck that somebody is actually going to give them compo money for Del Boy + Rodney & the Robin Reliant ! Luverly Juberly.
So more filthy lucre than they expected for the hedge fund.
Next out the door, a star Striker that only cost a (relative) few euro, we’ll flog him for a good few mill, kerching 💰💰💰
Ditto Grimes.
Next up, anyone just over minimum wage can go, and we’ll call it say …“Sustainability” yeah these schmuckos will believe anything.
Add to this, bringing back all the loanees, (cheap as chips) bung in a few promising youngsters, a few cheap loan ins, job’s a goodun.
So to sum up, as Del Boy once said…

“As Macbeth said to Hamlet in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, ‘We’ve been done up like a couple of kippers.’’

Fans worrying about the Swansea way when we have been slipping away from that for 5 years now. Also stated we have no ambition which is nailed on sadly.

Bizarre.

Around two to one wouldn’t support our new manager before any of his teams have kicked a ball.

Take that poll with a pinch of salt. There was a poll on here before with about 3,000 votes. The written responses seem to be on the positive side, I'll join that by stating that we couldn't do anything but support him. The welfare of the club is bigger than any individual.
