• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Can't see them just standing still, can you? Got plans to have a far bigger stadium than we have.
No I can't see them standing still! But I also can't see them make any great shakes in the championship. I think, this is where it get's interesting.

This is purely going from watching the programme, I have nothing against Wrexham.

Can’t wait to take six points off them. The arrogance of their fans is a tad odd given where they were not long ago. One team in Wales and it’s us. Any love-in from Swansea to them is strange and don’t say I didn’t tell you so when we actually come to play them

Funny watching their players sharing about next season with likes of McLean.. doubt most will be there next year

The thing that may hold Wrecsam back is that they need to improve on so many fronts simultaneously: the stadium, their training facilities, the academy and obviously the squad all need upgrading. Even so, I see them assembling a squad strong enough to ensure a mid table finish at least. They will probably need to upgrade their manager at some stage.
All this talk of their stadium being not up to it - it’s very good and always has been. There is a temp stand behind one of the goals but once the permanent stand goes up it’s more than adequate for championship football.

Can't stand em and they hate us.
Hope they get relegated.
Went there a few times years ago and down the Vetch.
Any Swans fans having a love in with em is embarrassing.
Need to learn some history.
This.
Certainly won't be sharing pubs down here with em.

So it looks like they'll have decent budgets for the Championship then, given some of the earlier comments which I'm taking as well informed.

That may well be the case, but what we have to remember is this - they're not coming from the PL with parachute money and a squad full of players too good for the division. They're coming up into the division, with (let's face it) a very League One looking team. Albeit a v good one.

The Championship is a bit shite, but it's very hard to get promoted out of, even with money. You need more than just high tempo huff and puff football, which they do very well, but there are loads of other teams at this level that also do that very well and they get nowhere near promotion.

I don't think they'll be in danger of being relegated. But I'd be shocked if they even threaten to make a 4th jump in a row. It's too big a step up.

You know they dont stand still. Look what happened to Welshpoool, Paul Mullin. Last season he was doing walk ons in A lister movies. Now hes forgotten. Phil Parkinson is not a sentimental chap. I havce to say I didnt think he was a good appointment at the time. How wrong can one be.

You dont speak for me. History? :ROFLMAO:
Northampton I hate for obvious reasons.
Scunthorpe I hate, for less obvious reason(also play off related)
Cardiff I hate. Nuff said.
Thats about it.
Let me know if thats ok with you

I'm looking forward to seeing how they get on next season, and of course looking forward to seeing how we get on against them.
Having watched them several times online this season out of curiousity, I have to say they will need a major squad rebuild in the summer. 80% of their players are too old or not Championship standard. No doubt they have the funds to achieve it, do they have the knowhow?

How big is Wrexham's fan catchment area in Wales?.. I guess it's all of the North but Cardiff would argue differently. Would thier interest reach Aberystwyth, Brecon and East and West Wales?

Also in the last 15 years has our and Cardiff supported areas changed much with younger support?

Everyone loves a bandwagon, especially a successful one. They will be totally dwarfed by Liverpool and Manchester club supporters up there though. Think of them as a Hollywood Tranmere.

Most North Welsh supporters do not support Welsh clubs.
