Looks like a nasty dog, I wouldnā€™t want to be next to that at a game.

Canā€™t be. Darran said it was one of those XL Bullies.
Iā€™m no expert on dog breeds, but Iā€™ve kept Staffies for 30 odd years and from that photo, if itā€™s not a staff itā€™s doing a good impersonation of one.

Staffs are a popular breed for people who suffer with severe anxiety, ADHD and such like. My current staff could do with one of those dogs mind, he suffers terribly with anxiety. As soon as the heavy rain starts today heā€™ll go to pieces.

That's an interesting comment, what does your dog do differently when he hears the rain? Is it the sound that's making him like this?

I watched The Dog House on Channel 4 the other night. Some poor old fella had to take his dog to rescue because the dog suffered with severe anxiety and the owner couldnā€™t cope. It was heartbreaking. Thankfully the dog was rehomed and was happy. They didnā€™t go back to the previous owner but Iā€™d imagine the poor old bugger is still suffering from guilt.

Same effect as when he hears fireworks, thunder, rain on the windows, emergency vehicle sirensā€¦

He canā€™t catch his breath, runs into every room, looking for somewhere to hide, and when he realises he canā€™t get away from it he tries digging through the floors, to get away from the noise.

Yeah my dog has ruined my house in his panic, kitchen door destroyed, worktops in kitchen chewed, scragged all my carpets.

With firework night I can medicate him (only Xanax works) but for heavy rain, thunder, police sirens etc Iā€™m knackered, especially when Iā€™m not in the house.
