• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

I don't know Mon. I first went to Stradey in the late 1960s and they were chanting Scarlets then.
I played for Bridgend Under 15s in the Dewar Shield around 1970 and they referred to themselves as Scarlets at that time.

I did say I was being pedantic  I’ve always called Swansea The Whites since I was a dwt, so yeah, splitting hairs for sure.

Funnily enough, I call the Ospreys The Whites to all the Neath based Ospreys fans in work, I get some very interesting replies

Never forget, Ospreys, Whites, Blacks or whatever people wanna call them, are the only true region, Those turks wouldn't accept it, Cardifff spuds would never except region rugby, even bloody Newport wouldn't, and this why region rugby was doomed to fail, we are to parochial for it to ever work.

anyone remember years ago when i used to hark on about things like this Yma o Hyd, and the future of Welsh football, with a vision of Wales reaching the world cup.

The Yma o Hyd bandwagon is there to jump on,
there is always a welcome...

can't say i didn't tell you so years and years ago

Well that’s nonsense. All you’ve ever posted is having a laugh.

Not moonlight shadow?

Just to be pedantic, Llanelli RFC were always known as Scarlets before the regions had been dreamt up and they subsequently took the name for that. Gallagher went for familiarity and a lack of originality and stole the history of a club for a folly. The egg equivalent of MK Dons.
