• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Feels like far too long ago for my liking
It was a cup game, I want to say against Peterborough but I could be wrong
We got spanked 4-0 if memory serves

EDIT:
Found it, we lost 4-1 actually, almost 30 years ago

My first game
Arsenal FA Cup 4th Round Feb 1968
Standing under the Double Decker packed in like sardines .
Record crowd 33,000 .
Remember Ivor Allchurch plus Arsenal centre half Ian Ure who looked like a giant to a kid .
We lost 1 nil Bobby Gould scored .
How lucky was i to have that as my first game .

9th Feb 1985 vs Brentford

Won 3-2. Just looked at the team and only now realised that Dean Saunders scored.

Was an evening game against Exeter i think.
Around 89/90.
Think we won 1-0.
Was there as our school was given tickets. Sat in the old Centre stand.

I think it was Barnet at home, mid 90s. on the top tier of the family stand with my Dad, we drew 1-1. I know Jason price was in the team and so was Keith walker, beacuse i remember the north bank singing about a pineapple, and a guy with a drum sitting behind me shouting Keith SKywalker

V Brentford at the vetch think it was 2-1 77/78? Pretty sure it was 30p to get in
