• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I do enjoy an “I’m more in the know than you” willy waving contest. Get a grip lads. :ROFLMAO:

Back in the Laudrup days I had a bit of time in my hands, and posted up a fake story that we were interested in a player from France called Yaya Banana from Sochaux. Two days later it made the WOL as an "exclusive" 😉

Fun fact, there is actually a player called Yaya Banana (I tried googling to find the article you mentioned)

Considering Inoussa has a foot injury which won't be better till mid may / end of may, how would he pass a medical?

Häcken fans seem keen to offload him and complain he is injured often. Looks talented though.

Medicals will often take into account a known pre existing injury when they do their tests and it will form part of their due diligence when reporting their findings back to the club

Not saying they are lying but transfermarkt (who are usually pretty good with injury dates and data) show him as only having been injured once since the 19/20 season when he was out for half a year for a back injury and no other injuries since

Looking at his appearance history it seems to back it up too. Probably tongue in cheek posters saying that hoping to scare us away somehow

Back injury - 18th Oct 2024 to Jan 12th 2025 approx 8 weeks
Foot injury - 30th March to 22nd May approx 7 weeks

Thats all the injury history I could find on him from flashscore.

maybe same instance of back injury with one site inaccurate dates, or, its a recurrence

transfermkt shows 2019/20 with back injury lasting 122 days

The back injury that ruled him out for 4 months would be the main thing that a medical would take a close look at. It happened when he was only 17 so every chance it was just an injury complicated by growing pains. They will also take a good look at whether the injury in October was related to it or not

We won’t formalise the signing until our transfer window opens, and at all times it will be subject to passing a medical.

So his long term injuries have been recently then, great news.

Hopefully it's not a bad injury and the medical will be a formality otherwise we could have another Otto type situation all over again.

You can understand why the club are not keen on these leaks with potential new signings. There does unfortunately seem to be more leaks in recent months regards potential signings.....club needs to keep it indoors better like they did the Modric story.

The Modric story was between us and him. This one involves another club. Who's to say that the leak isn't at their end?
Exactly, a very common strategy for a side to take when they are trying to squeeze out as much fee and/or favourable add ons as possible

Yep. One last little effort to see if anyone else wants to trump our offer.
