After a host of names were linked with a move to the Liberty it was the surprise signing of Easter that happened before the emergency loan window closed today.
Whether Easter is designed to be a long term signing or just that short term measure is not sure but Easter has signed until January 31.
“I’m delighted to be here,” said Easter on Swans Player. “It happened so quickly. I had a few phonecalls yesterday and here I am today.
“My contract at MK Dons ends at the end of the season and I’ve made it clear that I want to play Championship football and have international aspirations. So the opportunity to come here was perfect for me.
Swansea keep the ball well and have lots of possession. Hopefully I can work off the midfielders and the wingers and get myself some goals.
“I’ve had a few injuries this season, but I grabbed 20 last season in a mid-table side and I’m hoping to score a few more for Swansea.”
Brendan Rodgers added “It’s a difficult time to bring players in, but it was important to get someone who will contribute to the group in a busy period
“Jermaine has the talent to play in the Championship and if any environment can create that for a player then it’s this one – as it proved for Marvin Emnes.”
