As rivals make their move, all is quiet in SA1

Championship rivals are making their moves in a bid to strengthen their respective squads ahead of tonight’s 11pm deadline but all is eerily quiet at Swansea City.

On a day where signings were desperately needed it seems there is precious little on the horizon meaning yet again no genuine right back or a back up goalkeeper after Steven Benda’s injury.

Six players have departed this month but only Liam Smith – yet to be fully confirmed – had arrived today from Manchester City with the wideman set to go into the development squad initially.

The only real positive is the news that Morgan Whittaker looks to be staying in SA1 as Rangers seemingly pulled out of the race to sign the former Plymouth loan player. Whether he will play as much as he should for the remainder ofnthe season is the next question and as always only time will tell.

The Championship has been somewhat busy in the transfer market today and Luton for example have made a marquee signing with Marvelous Nakamba joining on loan from Aston Villa with Aaron Ramsey also leaving the Midlands club for Middlesbrough.

All in all it paints a pretty dreary picture with less than four hours left of the transfer window and perhaps a penny for the thoughts of one Russell Martin this evening?

Is anyone in Rossi’s? Has the fax machine been unplugged? Has Julian Winter switched his phone off?

  1. Well it just goes to show how much interest Levien &Kaplan have in our club in not willing to invest in it unless we sell players they have no idea how to run a football club just now how to make money out of it which they have done for years other owners are getting players in but not them at our club we could see why other managers left our club who can work with owners like them two .

  2. Time to take industrial action I think and teach them the way they run our club is not okay. No support, no ambition no hope. One way ticket to Wrexham’s league

  3. Unless we as fans actually do something nothing will change. One March and a few signs wonโ€™t get em out thatโ€™s for sure. There is 20+ share holders
They all have a say in each transfer incoming and outgoing not a lot of fans realise this they think itโ€™s just two americas! Itโ€™s actually 20

Letโ€™s get together letโ€™s wash them out or we will be like this for many years to come. No ambition (which is critical ;))

Who leads these protests we need them to come forward and get the jacks together like we did before

  4. It’s a sham with the owners #yanksout. I’m not a fan of Russell Martin never have been.. I’m shocked that Matt grimes is still with us and Joel piroe. I can see a protest being done very soon

  5. We are sleepwalking towards religation and we may bypass Wrexham on the way down. Is there anyone out there to bring about a collective means to get these Yanks who have no interest in the Swans, and have continously taken money to share with their greedy mates. I rememberTony Petty, who bought us for quid, and would have sold is soul to the Devil fir 50p.
