Swans to assess Darling injury – is he a Plymouth doubt?

There doesn’t seem to be a ninety minutes that has gone past this season without the Swans having a new injury doubt and the early departure of Harry Darling last night will be assessed as Luke Williams waits for news on the extent of the injury.

Darling was forced off just after the hour mark with what looked like some level of leg injury and Williams was hopeful after the game that the injury was not too bad.

In the middle of a defence that looks more than capable of giving things away at any minute, Darling has been one of the most consistent performers of the season and there is no doubt that Williams will be hoping that he does not lose the player for too long although I suspect we can already class him as an injury doubt for the visit of Plymouth Argyle this weekend.

โ€œWe need to see whether he needs a scan,” Williams said when addressing the question around Darling’s injury.ย  “But hopefully we managed to catch it before it was a big problem.ย  It was something in his quad so we will have to see.”

There was a double player positive on the player front though from Williams who saw a first forty-five minutes for new signing Ronald and also a return from his own injury for Wales international Ben Cabango.

โ€œI think you saw the speed and intensity with Ronald,” added Williams.ย  “He looked like he was in the game and it was very encouraging.

“I’m also pleased to have Ben back he is such a strong leader and such a good player so fantastic to get him back on the pitch.”

Can the Swans secure an agreement for second loan with Brighton?

Swansea City 0-1 Millwall – limp Swans end with a whimper
