• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Inspiring stuff. Wages = 100% of turnover; that's always a good starting point for a successful enterprise....

Where does the money even come from to keep us afloat? I know the 'owning group' puts in millions throughout the season, but where does that even come from? Are Levein, Coleman and Co dipping into their own pockets? Are they taking money from other, successful business ventures and sending it over here? Are they borrowing against something? I haven't a clue, and that's probably for the best, but they surely can't keep this up for much longer.

I know Coleman talks about the new TV deal, but you can bet your bottom dollar that agents will make sure 99% of that goes to player wages.

Football finances are wild.

Wage bill of £22m is incredible
This was the season where we were deemed to be bottom quarter of the Championship for wages was it not?

Was it Julian Winter who claimed that? Very little evidence that it would have been the case, we hadn't reduced the squad much at all from the previous season.

Love the way that Coleman effectively said in his statement "wasn't my fault guv"

Are the execs working for the club being paid mates rates as there are so many buddies employed

They don't get paid mun they do it for the love of it

Someone on here said so 🤣

I'm no fan of the club's hierarchy behind the scenes, but these accounts are from before Coleman was here, they don't include any incoming money from last summer (around 20million).

So unfair to pin this on him.

Kaplan, Levein and others though, absolutely.

He just talks a lot, most of it bollocks.

£20m? Blimey thats being generous. Even the Trust only put it at £6.8m

Remember Coleman can distance himself as much as he wanted but he invested into this so he can't really pretend that he didn't know

Well it know its installments etc. But Piroe, Whittaker, Obafemi, Latibeaudiere, Benda, Ntcham, Morgan and Martin sales surely total 20mill? Maybe more?
