I will be delighted if we get this done. Wonder what it will mean for Vipotnik now that we have Bobby Wales available as a backup.

Think Bobby can play on the wing also so maybe we will use him as a wing option.

Never go back is such a tired statement. I'd wager that the returning player failure rate is no worse than the new player failure rate. If the player improves us (), has the attributes we want and need () and is within our financial model (assumably ) then the fact he's an ex-player should have no negative baring. On the flip side we know him well and he's a massive JB which will hopefully negate some of the risk that's inevitable with any signing, not just ex ones. I'm all for this.

Proven goalscorer? He has just over 40 goals in some 140 appearances in the championship and 22 of them came in the 2018-2019 season

He has 30 league goals in the past 6 seasons overall

If this was any other player we wouldn't touch them with a 10ft bargepole

Disagree, a lot of the time he hasn’t been playing at championship level. His last season in the champ he got 13 and he missed 8 games. He very likely would have got 15+ that season, similar to the likes of Sargent this season, doubt we’d turn someone like him down.

5 goals and 6 assists for a poor Las Palmas side isn’t bad either when it’s in a top European league.

Understand people having issues with age and the fact there is little resale value at high wages, but as a player he’s easily better than what we have.

Ok, we get it. You're not a fan. You're entitled to your opinion though. Mine? I think he could well do ok for us. No transfer fee. I can see the value.
