• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Its easy to make "tough" decisions when it doesn't affect you!, yet we are still giving Billions away in foreign aid, no cuts there are there! Spending ridiculous amounts on "Green energy" which is a massive con, the UK produces less than 1% of the worlds carbon emissions yet we again has to be seen as leading the World when we got no control over the Countries that produce the most, still spending fortunes on stopping illegal immigration, why doesn't he do what other countries would do and get the navy to turn these boats around and escort them back across the channel, Governments priorities are wrong and always have been, you don't just keep strangling the hard working Tax payer.
Starmer comes across as arrogant and pig headed.

Off you go Ladies :ROFLMAO:

We have a seat at the top table on world matters, and so we should have. Much better to be on the inside than on the outside. With this seat comes an expectation that we do lead from the front and try to bring others along with us, take the matter of climate change as an example, foreign aid is another. I would much rather is tackle the wastefulness in home affairs and what many consider to be vanity projects.

Starmer is hell bent on funding ridiculous “climate change" ideologies... rather spend 40 billion across the globe on it than the 1.5 billion he is stealing from pensioners. Absolutely scandalous
Between India / China they got 750 operational blast furnaces and they are hell bent on closing 2 here to effect climate change at the same time 12000 people up the road in generations of future steel workers out of a job.
Go figure.

Tata are closing them not the government. Traditional blast furnaces are too expensive to run.

Yeah, I know they are closing them, but the pressure from government to reduce carbon emissions have given them another excuse to do so with the financial penalties they faced because of emissions, not this government I may add.

This country produces less than 1% carbon emissions and yet this tiny little country thinks its gonna make a difference and lets face it, its not gonna make a blind bit of difference.

There's no chance that China who produce 27% of emissions will alter what they are doing, neither will Russia or India.

We give away way to much money in foreign aid and who pays for it all and what return benefits do we get back, a smile a shake of the hand and a slap on the back, we need to reduce the 84 billion we give away, its pure waste with no reward, IMO.

Not sure where you got £84 billion from. It's a fraction of that and in absolute numbers is less than 1.0% of national income. I am certain that Starmer will make an appraisal of where this money goes.

As for Tata in Port Talbot, it is a highly unprofitable pimple on what is a profitable business overall. Nobody should be surprised that it's being transformed in the way that it is.

I don't disagree on Tata, but the truth is that Tata have let the place run down specific parts of the plant have neede major works for years, I was in there for 12yrs and the decay was very evident and by the time I left in 2016 it was far worse.

I saw that figure somewhere probably on one of the Whatsapp groups.

I suggest you stop believing everything someone says on WhatsApp.

The actual amount of “foreign aid” (an incorrect term in itself but one step at a time) spent outside of the U.K. was just over £4bn.

I'm just repeating it, I didn't know if it was true or false and I can't confirm if I even saw it on any group, but seen it I did, whatever the figure its probably to much and more than what other countries give, plus the costs involved in all this illegal immigration where did the 700 million come from to pay for the ill-fated Rwanda shitstorm or more to the point who paid or will pay for it the hard working taxpayer "again"

Including those academics sitting by a desk all day drinking coffee whilst looking at their multiple computer screens :ROFLMAO:
