• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I've never really spent much time in Hereford. What's the deal, Max, is it ripe for an afternoon out, evening meal and stay over?
Pego is the man to talk to he lived there, I'm just a fleeting visitor, its an oldy Worldie town there's a cracking pub called the barrels who brew Wye Valley Ales, Butty Bach, HPA, Hopmaster Ale, nice beer. two cracking curry houses one next door to the Barrels and one opposite
There's some nice quirky cafes, lovely Italian on St Martins Street. The Beefy Boys do lovely burgers, need to book ideally a
Cathedral is lovely with all its grounds. The River walks are great and the fishing which is what I go up there for, we stayed in the Premier Inn Edgar Street this time its right by Hereford's AFC ground,

In answer to that, yes absolutely the A465 is getting better, but can still be a challenge.

I priced getting to Hereford and back by train, extortionate ticket costs.

A day trip just about possible, but exposed to risk of cancellation of last train home. An overnighter was no cheaper.

We stayed at Kidwells House back in March bed only nice room though but a fair walk to the town, couple of the Airbnb's are good hard to find ones with parking though I need parking with all my fishing gear onboard, stayed at Premier inns a few times and travelodge once that was enough, Green Dragon Hotel we've stayed as well, the new Premier inn by at Edgar street is tidy enough they do Premier plus rooms as well.

Can’t fault a PI Premier Plus room! Bedding is superb and the easy to reach/low lighting means a nice wake up.

Its a bit of a con though, we had their standard room and they've been downgraded from what they were we tried to upgrade, but none available.

I think it’s basically part of a national refresh, which they can’t do all at once, of course. I’ve no complaints with paying a tenner more for a mint bathroom.

Regardless of room, the breakfast for £10.99 is banging!

Which one can't you disclose . The original or the current one. Fuck me, everyone knows the original one. The current one not so much.
