• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

We’ve got a couple of construction project with huge amounts of external scaffold on them, my arse is going to be twitching all weekend.

Fingers crossed especially for those who have only just got over the last lot of flooding.
Only had a new roof about a month 6 weeks hope that stays unscathed, I've hope we don't lose our electric other wise my Fish could be in trouble, got some big fish who need oxygenated water and filtration, be ok for a little while, but depends how long it goes on for.

Take care of yourselves, boys and girls, stay safe.
I'm flying into Birmingham on Wednesday and will be at the match on Saturday. I trust Storm Darragh will have fecked off by then.

Couldnt make it up really, this weekend should ne Amber but they screwed up 2 weeks ago by not making that one red, so in their eyes it's even

I think the wind direction has made a difference when compared to February 2022.

It’s coming from the north west this morning and we’ve got a bit more shelter. In Feb 2022 we got wiped out when it came from the south where we are more exposed.

One of my to do’s was to pick leaves up, that task has been solved. No idea where the leaves are now, but they are certainly not in the garden.

Before we started naming storms as if they were hurricanes, we’d have all woken up tomorrow morning, looked out of the window and thought “rough old day today” and got on with our days as planned unless we were doing something particularly dangerous.
Now I’m fuming, just went to the gym and it’s fucking closed🤬🤬🤬

It seems a bit more intense at the moment, than it was last night, can’t wait for the winds to subside, slightly worried about my plastic shed now 🤬

Looks like everywhere around this locale is taking a battering. Looks like it's in for the day too. Clyne, Mayals and Mumbles are really coping it. Take it easy all.👍

I was just planning to go. Suppose I'd better ring the lazy workshy buggers. The wind was so strong here, my green bin blew over, and it weighs at least a couple of kg. Shock, horror. Whatever next, world's going to end. Meanwhile they are talking about cancelling missus Xmas do tonight. Ridiculous.
