I honestly can't see any improvement in what Williams is trying to achieve. We scrap a few wins and then put in a series of gutless performances.

I accept that Luke isn't the answer but it's been a consistent theme for three and a half years through Martin, Duff, Sheehan and now Williams.

There should be no real surprise in performances like this one. As we have said before we have a squad full of "squad" players and have an over reliance on players who should only come out when we have big injury concerns. we all know who they are but they continue to play more often than they don't

Then we go and re-sign Cyrus Christie who was hardly a world beater when he was here first time around and now has eighteen months of a lack of football action behind him just sums up the ambition that we have shown to this point.

It's not actually a big January we have ahead but its a massive two windows between now and the end of August and it will determine whether the actions do speak louder than words.
