• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Just watched Saints get a drubbing at home 5-0 on MOTD against Brentford. They looked a shambles, but such is the gulf in class between us and the Prem, I still expect them to win comfortably. We'll have to be motivated and somewhere near our best not to be humiliated. I hope Bango is fit.

Not great being a jack on the south coast in recent times. Double battering last season by Southampton, trashed by Bournemouth in the cup, error ridden thrashing against Portsmouth..

Let's hope we don't play Eastleigh in the near future 🫣

Brighton wasn’t great when I was last there in our relegation year neither (4-1). We’re due a result, but it would be a major shock. They still have miles better players than us.

This match has become absolutely irrelevant now the Martin grudge match angle isn't there. It'll just be two reserve teams looking disjointed. Couldn't care less if we win, lose or draw. We're not good enough for a deep cup run in any case.

EastEnders Omnibus is sounding more appealing than this game, right now.

A question of who has the better reserves, but cos they are desperate for any win...wouldn't be surprised if they went as strong as possible.
Lukes excuse will be the derby. Which means if we go up the road and lose he can fck right off.

He's already eluded to the Scottish lad starting in goals,

I get it, we all do. Been a mental few weeks for the players, the derby is looming. But what we can't have is playing the stiffs next week, turning up to the piggery full strength and getting turned over.

It's the supporters making the effort to travel for these games that get my sympathy.

I dread to think what I starting eleven is going to look like next week.

I would play a full strength team...we have a 7 day break then a further break to the Cardiff game. A chance to turn Southampton over and get a lucrative tie.

Playing a fringe team means a 2 weak break for the core of the team...no for me thank you.

I guess you could factor in injuries or suspension but we don't tackle so no issues.
