New Manager

It will be interesting to see how the remaining matches play out. I know many are concerned about the 'caretaker bounce mirage' and that there would be a fall-off in results the longer Sheehan was in charge; but if anything, I'd say that would have come into effect after that first burst of fixtures that ended at the international break. But since returning from the break, we've had some great results and got the best performance of the season last night (albeit against a sh*t team), so I'm not sure this is just a short-term bounce.

IF....IF we continue to see a strong end to the season, I think it would be some show of hubris from the club to rip all this up to find someone else. Maybe they already have someone lined up they're completely smitten with and convinced is the right man - and if so, fair enough. Likewise, if they want to conduct a thorough candidate search to ensure they have all the best options in front of them before they decide - great, fantastic - that's what they should be doing, but I think it's going to have to be a candidate that absolutely blows your socks off to consider another reset.
I pretty much agree with all that.

Taking 6 points from the last 2 games while employing wholly different formations and styles of play impresses me. It probably helps that I wasn't at the Derby game and didn't have to sit through it, but last night was a great watch.

If they have their person in mind and strongly believe he's a better option than Sheehan, then fair enough. If Sheehan takes around 7 points from the remaining 5 games and is willing to accept a 12 month contract, then I would be happy with that.

I wonder if we don't have anyone in mind and conduct a thorough search come the summer, would another club without a manager snap Sheehan up while we're searching?

Decent interview to be fair.

Main Swans part starts around 35:30 (about him coming here) and another bit later around 45:00 (about leaving for Southampton). Also a random bit early on saying as a young player looking to get a trial he wrote to all 92 clubs and we were one of 3 who responded, but we were too far away so we went to Wycombe instead.

I just can't watch this 😅😅. I saw clips on Tiktok and you would swear he thinks he is pep. Such arragance. He had to bang on about not experiencing being sacked other than Southampton. He rode his luck with us. Nearly 20 games where we lost wasn't it? Fraud if you ask me. But wouldn't be suprised if he was Leciester manager next season.

Hate to disagree but the guy believes his own hype. It crazy reading comments on Southampton recently. Alot said he should of stayed. Those same people wanted him gone. The guy had 1 way to play. And that was it. Tactically I did not see him change with us. To stubborn which lead to our crazy run of losses. People are clouded by his charm. The guy is pure deluded. Did I say I was not a fan of his 😅😅😅

Fair enough, I'm not a 'fan' of his myself. I just thought it was as decent interview in general, taking the obvious eye-roll moments out and watching it as a general football fan and not with my Swans hat on.

Biggest eye-roll for me was him and Lineker waxing lyrical over the Barca team of 07/08 and how that was the benchmark for how Martin wanted his teams to play.....I mean....yeah...

He does strike me as a bit naive in general. Be interesting to see where he turns up next and how that goes - although I'm sure we can all have a decent guess how it'll go..

Barca and benchmark is insane. I'm just one of those bitter fans with certain players and managers. I mean, when he was in the championship and he beat us at home. I just stayed after the match to the end and watched him go over to our fans and he and they were clapping and singing. If this was Laudrup, Rogers etc fair enough. But people seemed to be sucked into his words. I'm not saying it was easy for him under last owner's, but he threw the club under the bus, fell out with a number of players, right or wrong and would not change tactics with suicide football. Again appreciate your honesty and if you enjoyed fair do. But for me he is a manager who thinks he is better than he is. Leicester next manager. Next season. You heard it here first 😉😉

I doubt that Leicester will take him, his win percentage and points won were terrible here and not stunning at Soton. He did sort of OK at Soton until Troy Deeney left, then slipped out of the automatics and only just got up to the Prem.

He believes he is very clever, believes he has deep insight and sells that package to people, but the plain fact is that he's just not terribly bright.

Gut is telling me he will go to Leicester. He won't get another Premier league club so championship or Scotland or international is his options. With his roots in Brighton with his vegan restaurant and I think his family is in Wales still, might be wrong on that. Championship will be his next location.

Sounds a good fit for the Welsh Barcelona then.

There will probably be a Championship owner dull enough to take a chance on him, but unless he has had a complete revelation in a full on Biblical style he will fail there too. He'll be fighting for non-league jobs with Garry Monk in a couple of years if not.

This in a nutshell.
I have a mate in the media & not long after he joined he said exactly the same thing. Word for word.
His self belief will get him another job of fairly decent standing, but we know he wont change.

Back on topic after the bizarre Russy fest by the obsessive Cults like Winston........

The smart move is to trust our new Owners and best-in-class recruitment apparatus to deliver a sexy, exotic left-field game-changer and reignite our unique Swanseway Edge.

And given our new Leadership team's already excellent track record in recruiting the right shaped pegs (LOB, HD, MW) for the gaping chasms left by Russy and his Willy, The Swans are most definitely flying again.

The next level beckons with our new Owners......exciting times

I agree. Though I have read few articles over last 24 hours about how the club are cutting staff and all of that. It's never a nice thing, nor would I say I undertand how a club is run. But the club is running at a high Loss. Mis-management on and off field. I think it's easy for many certain sites to flag and call out why they are doing things but unless you have run a company or undertand how it works then it's difficult to judge. By the way this certain site also called out the club for cancelling coaches for Sunderland and called it a disgrace. Yet the club has explained only 4 people booked and it was no use to do this and the club is not making profits. I'm ranting, but we need to give club a chance as you said and see where we go. 👍👍
