New Manager

I agree. Though I have read few articles over last 24 hours about how the club are cutting staff and all of that. It's never a nice thing, nor would I say I undertand how a club is run. But the club is running at a high Loss. Mis-management on and off field. I think it's easy for many certain sites to flag and call out why they are doing things but unless you have run a company or undertand how it works then it's difficult to judge. By the way this certain site also called out the club for cancelling coaches for Sunderland and called it a disgrace. Yet the club has explained only 4 people booked and it was no use to do this and the club is not making profits. I'm ranting, but we need to give club a chance as you said and see where we go. 👍👍
The cutting of staff is a shame and supposedly being done to allow the club to concentrate on strengthening the playing side.

Sad to hear about the lady who has worked at the club since day 1 of the stadium being open being let go.

It's a tough time, but it's the current reality of almost all Clubs right now.

We are most fortunate to have Owners who are investing in our Club and not burdening our Club with expensive debt like most Clubs (see Cardiff !!).

We need to Increase Revenues and Reduce Costs to be sustainable and then kick on. The better we are at doing that, the bigger our Swansea Edge will be.

Not sure what 'this certain site called out our Club' is, but a top tip - there are some proper oddballs out there that always make stuff up for attention, and thankfully the more they make stuff up the more folk pass them by for the fake news merchants they are. Ignore, is always the best option.

As you say - 'we need to give this club a chance...and see where WE go' 👌

The Swansea Independent is starting to advocate Sheehan for permanent manager now.

If he takes home another 3 wins from the last 5 games then surely he must be a serious contender, especially if we see more performances like Wednesday night?

Ah, footballing equivalent of the Royal Seal of Approval.

If we see a lot more performances like Plymouth and a lot less like Derby, will help his cause.

It's safe to say we all enjoyed the last performance.

I agree that its not the Roll's Royce of reporting, but their work is still a damned more readable than half the drivel that comes out of Wales Online for example.

Our overall form since Sheehan took over is indeed playoff form with his only losses being Watford and Burnley. It also includes the highly creditable draw against Leeds at Elland Road (who are currently dicking all over Preston) as well as very convincing wins against Blackburn and Plymouth.

The only blot on his copybook was the dull game against Derby, but cynics will point to it as a good 3 points considering they have one draw and four wins in their other five games when you look at form (which is usually over six games).

Burnley at home was very poor.

I'm not commenting any further on the other site, it's not worth the agro it causes. On the other hand Wales online has been a laughing stock for years.

I just can't get the Derby game out of my head. It's probably more to do with all the other anti football matches we've had to endure over the years since we dropped from the Premier League.

If we take the game to Sunderland today rather than park the bus, I'll start turning from a doubter in to more of a believer.

Watford away wasn't great, either.
A bit of revisionism here.

The game against Watford we were the better side, and their goal came from a Franco error that you just can't legislate for. When you check the match report and the match stats a loss was actually a harsh result for us.

Match report and stats can say all that they want.

I watched the game and thought the performance was distinctly average against a distinctly average team.

This is Sheezy's (and his diluted Quorum) Gig, for sure

What a breath of fresh air - getting the very best out of our richly assembled talented squad, fair play

Toe2Toe with Leeds and Sundo on their own patch 👏

I’d give him a one-year rolling contract, a guarantee that he can have his old job back any time he decides he’d rather do that and Alan Curtis’s kettle. Least he deserves. And plenty of exit routes for both parties if it doesn’t work out.

Would be a tough argument if you didn't think he deserved it the way it's going for him.

Like the idea of the 1 yr rolling contract as suggested above.

I’ll repeat what I said a week or so ago that I was reliably informed (by the same person who told me that Coleman had left a month before the club announced it) that the job is more or less Sheezy’s.

I think we'd be mad not to appoint him.

That Derby result looks good given their results before and since. Winning that gave us the platform to then take 6 points from today and Wednesday
