Season 24/25 | The Official Match Day Thread | Swansea City 3 Oxford United 3 | Att: 19,672 | 3rd May 2025 | The EFL Championship

I will have to see the replay again for the last goal, but none of those 97 minutes of play did anything to convince me that Delcroix is a Championship level defender

Well that’s an interesting potential last contribution from O Brien. He’s been gash - by his standards - today, fair do’s. Right, all but Daps can relax now and recharge for next season. All in all, this one worked out well in the end.

Defo felt like end of season match. The intentions was there but slightly off at times. Delcroix do not come back. Vip didn't do himself any favours. Though I am his biggest supporter. O Brien also has seemed here or there, for last few games. I really like him, but finishing isn't great, add Franco to that. I wouldn't be overly gutted if we brought a similar player in who has same style but better finishing for OB.

Vigs should have done a lot better (he dived before P even shot), as, obviously should O’Brien. There was no need to get in any pickle at all there. Never mind, don’t care.

Unless things change drastically Franco will almost certainly be playing as the holding midfielder next season I would think

OB hasn't looked great for few games now. I like the guy but wouldn't break the bank for him if we can get a similar player with better finishing. We really should of wrapped this game up. Seems we was one eye on the beach and the other on the game.

Vigs anticipated a shot across goal which was the more likely outcome there, maybe he started going down too early and some blame for the 2nd goal can certainly go his way. We got a couple of months to disseminate and point to players who aren't up to it without having even kicked a ball in anger for the club yet over the summer

Yeah no issues with Franco. Needs to work on his finishing. OB as said, I like but I feel we shouldn't break the bank for him.

There was no ‘assist’ for Eom’s goal. That’s ridiculous. Tymon was on it today though.
Thats the funny thing about assists, a 2 yard pass to a player who then dribbles past five and smashes it into the top corner counts just as much as someone who dribbles past five and passes it two yards to someone to tap into an empty net.

Clearly a game we should have won, but we looked suspect defensively all game and paid the price.

The worst was saved for the end of course - Placheta and his 50p feet drills that chance at the end inside the post instead of row z like he'll do the other 99 times he'll be in that position. The gods wanted a draw today

Vigs is fine, but standing tall and narrowing the angle there is the smart option from that position.
