O’Brien

Data analysis, video analysis, scouting. In that order.

Standard practice. It would be negligent to omit any of those three steps.

Nixon tweeting Valencia want LoB.

I haven’t clicked his pay wall so I’m assuming there’s no other O’Brien 😁

Again another one we need to move on from. LOB, did fantastic when he came in and lifted the team. He reminded the club why we was missing this type of player. But he has come and gone. Wages too high and he did dip off alot towards the end. Let's get a player who we can afford and one we can invest in. Easier said than done but it can be achieved.

LoB has a strong negotiating hand. If he says he only wants to go to Swansea, then Forest have the choice of acceding to his wishes or having him in the bench, if that. We would still have to fork out a lot of money, which probably will scupper things. We need to get clarity on this early on in the window. We can't afford to leave things until the last minute, with such an important position.

LoB will only come if Forest are willing to accept a peppercorn fee or allow him to leave on a free, and he would need to substantially lower his wage demands.

The chances of either of those things happening are slim; both those things coming together even slimmer.

I'd be moving on to other targets.

You're probably right, but LoB might accept a pay cut in return for a 3 year contract. But we need to get this sorted early and move on if there's no movement.

I suspect the death knell came today, with Forest now looking unlikely to get CL football. They'll need a deep squad for the Europa or Conference league so I can't see them giving players away for next to nothing. Had they got their hands on CL cash, might have been a different story.

I guess it depends if they've got an option for an extra year with him. If it's a case of cashing in or losing him for nowt then they'll probably go for the former.

I think Forest being in Europe in either comp could suit us. Forest will need to add some top quality to that squad to compete on all fronts. Can't see LoB being in the frame to be honest. I think they will try and get a fee for him this summer £2M Ish...

They are only 1 pt behind Villa in 6th and Chelsea in 5th and they play Chelsea home last game of the season. They are very much still in it

There will be 6 teams in next years CL. The top 5 in the league plus the winner of the Europa Final between Spurs and Man Utd

Man Utd or Spurs getting into the CL is the ultimate shit house! Two awful teams taking up a space of another, more deserving team.

It should never be called the Champions League, it’s anything but these days. Been saying it for years, not since the joke of what you have just typed.

UEFA only want the 'best supported' clubs in its top competition.
The Likes of Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea aren't what they were several years ago, but at least they've earned the right to be in the top 5 by winning games.
Having the team that finished 16 or 17 in the league qualify is ridiculous.
