I still think it has zero chance of happening, but if Modric did register as a player here, he'll be here full time as he can't play for anyone else. He may not have the pace to get up and down the pitch like he used to, but he'd play every minute he was capable of if he was our player next season. Put Franco alongside him and have him do the running, Modric would not cover a lot of ground, but would dictate play from the middle.

Well I suppose he could, but he wouldn't be eligible to play in any games that share the same competition as us - that would mean he is automatically cup tied for the League Cup and FA Cup. Some sides may not care about that though if they can use him in the Premier League to help keep them up / knock on the door for Europe

I'm pretty sure that FIFA rules state you can only play for one club as they hold your registration, so he couldn't play for a foreign club at the same time either.

Edit: I've just realised you probably meant he couldn't sign for another English club while having a stake in this club, not playing for us. You're probably right on that, I have no idea on the rules in that area.
