Enjoyed that, but because Radacanu beat a local girl, I want her to go out in the next round now.
Well done Mimi
Well done Mimi
They didn’t look too enamoured with each other at the end neither. I expected smiles and hugs between two brits. This is what I meant when I said she was better smiling and relaxing than sour faced fist clenching. She’s only a kid herself. Needs to have fun on the court. She’s not in Sabalenka or Gauff’s league at the moment, so relax, enjoy and hit is my prescription for EmmaI like Raducanu but it’s embarrassing how worked up she’s getting because she’s beating a young kid years behind her.
Indeed, only 17, jeez.Be interesting to see them play each other in a couple of years’ time.
She did Swansea proudBe interesting to see them play each other in a couple of years’ time.
The wild cards at Wimbledon are great experience for our youngsters. If Mimi can sought out her double fault serving and be consistent on the rallies she will go very far.
Too many freebie points given to Raducanu .
Great experience for her though
It’s amazing how much we all know about tennis for this two weeksThey didn’t look too enamoured with each other at the end neither. I expected smiles and hugs between two brits. Sums it up nicely. The problem with Dimi on this (amd every other subject) was twofold. He made his point, some of it was valid but he can’t deal with people not agreeing that he’s 100% right about everything, ever so he had to keep making the same point over and over and over again. And of course too many people lacked the self control to know when to stop arguing arguing with him. Dimi amd arguments are like fire and oxygen. They need each other to survive. I’m amused by the thought of him reading this from his office as King of Data of whatever he is at the Liberty these days and just itching to respond.I remember that. It reminded me of all the Andy Murray haters who said for years he'd never win a Grand Slam. Then when he did, it became he'd never win a second one. Then he'd never win a third one...
The odds were massively against Raducanu winning that US Open, it was a fairy tale up there with Leicester winning the PL. Yet some prefer to carp and bitch about how she wouldn't win another one, as if winning one wasn't an incredible achievement that thousands of tennis players would give anything to achieve. Possibly a combo of misogyny and jealousy was involved in his bizarre ranting.

Anyway, excellent effort from Xu on her main draw debut. Been a good day for the brits today so far.
I genuinely hope he doesn't come near the forums these days. I am impressed that he's got into the position he has and wish for him to be brilliant at it. He should put all his energy and tenacity (which is considerable) into that job and ignore us lot talking shit on the internet.
He’ll win a slam at some point in his career.Right then let's see what this lad Draper' got. On paper should be ok.![]()
Seems to have all the tools, and only 25, the only issue is Alcaraz and Sinner, mind ew AM managed a few. He’ll win a slam at some point in his career.
He’s no Murray but he’s not in such a strong era either. He’s already won his first Masters 1000 title this season. He’ll win a slam one day. We shal see innit.Seems to have all the tools, and only 25, the only issue is Alcaraz and Sinner, mind ew AM managed a few.![]()
Raducanu won't get very far, she knew that she would beat Mimi so she didn't feel any pressure when she does feel the pressure she'll crumble or get an injury again. They didn’t look too enamoured with each other at the end neither.
