• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I am wondering if Jack the Ripper was operating under a Muslim London Mayor - according to social media the Kray twins definitely were

To be fair it sounds absolutely spiffing in dat dare London. Trains and buses running like Swiss watches, less crime than ever, fresh air at every corner, sounds idilic.👍
The truth usually is somewhere in between. Some great parts and some absolute hell holes. As there is everywhere

The irony of condescension in this thread is staggering.

They don’t like it up ‘em as Lance Corporal Jones once said.

Had a meeting today and three of them were from London, one from Waterloo, one from Barnet and I didn’t get where the last one was from (only one followed football and he was a Barnet fan). Two of the three have and will continue to vote for Khan, the other lady said she’s never voted in the mayoral elections.

Make of that what you will.

Barnet ffs. 🤣
You couldn’t get much further away from central London in London it’s nearly in Hertfordshire.

Barnet is one mile further away from Charing Cross (the marker used for distance to London) than Croydon is. And yet you were happy for that to be used as a proxy for London?

Barnet is closer to Oxford Circus than Croydon is.

Plus Barnet is on the tube and Croydon is not.

For what? They clearly have no idea what goes on in the real parts of London.
Tell us you don’t know London without telling us you don’t know London.

Honestly Darran, most Londoners would consider Barnet more London than Croydon is.

He hasn't got a clue any further east than Baglan Maccy D's, he still points up to the sky when he sees a plane 😔
