• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I’ll stick my neck out. There’s a player there. Better than Yates - needs the effing service to the feet to run on to.

Said after the Plymouth game last year , he's not good enough. Missed a hat trick of good chances that night. He's slow, sluggish and doesn't react quick enough to what's going on around him.
Haven’t seen enough live games so will bow to that one. The reacting to things around him? Still reckon he could do a job. Lonely position as a sub up top.

Lacks instinct, anticipation and awareness for a striker, got a decent shot on him and that's it for me, Bobby Wales came on tonight showed pace and a cracking finish, Sheehan needs to build on that and no doubt he will.

100%. I could copy and paste highlights last season with tonight. Gets into positions but always loses concentration on a simple tap in.

I don't think his hold up play is given enough credit too. His heading is lacking.

Sadly I want him to show something but I think he will be one we move on next year.

Wales on other hand seems to have a Ollie McBurnie about him. Not there yet, but puts him self about and gets shots off and goal may not look pretty, but does the job. There is a player there.

Sadly I just don't think he's up to it, not sharp enough and nowhere near clinical enough at this level. Wastes too many chances, should have had two goals last night. Wales was a much bigger threat when he came on.

Put your finger on it there. He's the 'Nearly Man'. Nearly made it to the simple tap in, but not quite. Every feckin' time.
And always a yard off when balls are knocked down etc, not good enough

We have had some decent strikers since relegation, Mcburnie, Piroe, and even Obafemi and Cullen, given chances knew where the net was. Vipotnik is the worse of the lot in my opinion, and we simply have to find better.

I try very hard not to vilify Vipotnik, but whether its due to a lack of confidence or a lack of ability as the midfield behind him is growing increasingly more fluent with the new players coming together and our wingers as a result are getting better service his current deficiencies are becoming more and more apparent.

Against a Crawley team rooted at the bottom of League Two without a win all season they were there to be bullied and for him to stamp his authority and get goals and confidence. Instead his overall contribution was a net negative by dithering in an offside position and ultimately causing a goal to be chalked off.

He's not the worst striker we have had since we got relegated, but he definitely falls short when compared to McBurnie, Piroe and even Obafemi
