• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

How many more chances will he get to lead the line? Last night albeit against league two opposition was IMO the ideal opportunity to shine. The ball was driven across the box and apart from perhaps one he nearly got to. I don't recall him being too near the others. A good striker sniffs out more than one of those opportunities.

He looks like he's wearing divers boots - which restricts his runs and movement!🤔

Last night, he was being held 2 handed around his waist by a Crawley defender in their box, and he did -

Fvck All. 😂

I was hoping he would be in the same mould as a Mitrovic but he's been a real let down, even thouh he's largely come on from the bench in the league. Certainly not an impact sub.

We really need one strengthen up front with proven quality (akin to Brereton Diaz or Armstrong) or proven potential (and up and coming La Liga striker). Easier said than done, but badly needed.

He is better than Jerry Yates (dont get me started!!) - and will score the odd goal. However, posters above have nailed this guy.
He lacks pace, (and worse) anticipation and desire to get into positions where it matters. His feet have giant heels and tiny toes, because he always seems to be on his heels when things happen around him.
No way is he useless, and maybe confidence is an issue.. but I look for traits that I can work with, and the ability tto link play decently and a turbo shot is not quite enough at this level.
If we could get cash money for him I would absolutely sell and reinvest elsewhere.

We’ve seen nothing, zero, zilch to suggest he’s better than Yates. He may go on to be better but fans of Swansea City haven’t seen anything to suggest he will.

He is about as dynamic as a slug. Can't get on to any of Tymon's crosses. Bobby Wales offered more than Vipotnik and Cullen combined when he came on.

What did he do that was noteworthy in the 60 odd minutes he was on ?
Wales came on, and did more in his short time, than The plank could achieve in probably 2 games.
A goal, layoffs, headers won, through balls, all prerequisites of a centre forward.
We have to farm out Sputnik, on loan or whatever.
Can’t believe he’s got 3 yrs left on his contract.

Purely out of hope I have stuck by Vipotnik and defended him. But for me finally, and yes I am late to the party, he isn't up to it. My excuses for him was its his first season, he doesn't get enough game time etc. I do like his hold up play. But that's it. He can't jump to head a ball, his positioning is all over the place and I have lost count on how many times he has been on the end of a perfect cross to only miss a sitter. Give Wales a chance. I think he has a Ollie McBurnie about him. But what do I know. I have supported VP for last season 😅

That's basically where I am with him. He's either a yard away from where he needs to be, or badly fluffing a chance.

I honestly don't think I can remember a Swans player who has missed so many chances in the same position. Alot of people talk about how he doesn't get service, but he always seems to swing at the ball seconds later. Hate saying it just because I wanted him to be something, but moving him on next season might be best thing. You watch he will get a goal on Saturday now 😅

He reminds me a bit of me up front 😂

I can still see him leaving tbh, this new big striker signing is going to want the number 9 shirt 👀

Said after the Plymouth game last year , he's not good enough. Missed a hat trick of good chances that night. He's slow, sluggish and doesn't react quick enough to what's going on around him.
Totally agree. If he's not getting the ball he has to make things happen and be more aware and sharper

I still think there is a player there but can see him leaving if they get a striker and winger who can also play up top comes in.
