Taken only 13 minutes this season. Bournemouth player miscontrols a ball and then swipes it with his hand to stop Liverpool player running clean through on goal. Replays show it was very obviously intentional handball but VAR did nothing

They are meant to give more pens for holding this year at set piece. Can’t wait for the pathetic tantrums if they do.

Last man too, looked like deliberate handball , scousers 2 up anyway so far

Yeah luckily for the VAR team it doesn’t look like it will impact the result tonight but it doesn’t look any better no matter how many times I see it

May have spoken too soon
This Liverpool team will never be boring to watch, so slick in attack but more open than a Luke Williams defence

I wasn't watching but ex-Liverpool player Stephen Warnock agreed with the decision for whatever that's worth.

All I will say is that if it happened in the EFL there would have been a red card issued.
At half time VAR officials backtracked to make excuses, watching it from multiple camera angles there was no way it was accidental contact. The player looked at the ball and changed the motion of his hand to swipe at it

I find it totally unacceptable, especially with the cash involved in the Premier League that the fourth official in last night's Liverpool match was the same guy (Farai Hallam) who refereed the Boro v Swans match in what was his second season of refereeing in the EFL Championship level.
Talk about fast tracking.

How someone with the benefit of multiple video replays can look at that incident and conclude there was no deliberate handball is worrying to say the least. Michael Oliver was the VAR. And we're told he's the best ref in the country. Laughable.

The whole system is a farce, entirely dependant on the whims of the bloke doing it that particular day. It should go in the bin.

Still don't know why Taylor give a freekick to Bournemouth after the incident, Ekitike was definitely not offside.

The fact that Oliver was the VAR official should explain his decision.
