They can and should only implement VAR for clear and obvious errors, as it was intended, not searching for marginal and microscopic things. It’s not there to check every goal to see if they can find anything to disallow it. You should rarely see it used.

Keep goal-line technology, keep VAR for violent conduct, bin the rest.

Can't disagree with that, there was a moment in the game where Salah was fouled in the penalty box, VAR looked at it, but awarded no pen, because they deemed he would not have made it to the ball, but it's still a foul in the penalty box ffs!
